That moment of complete absorption and being totally present when I’m at the computer, like a composer of music, defines my passion for creating Fine Art Photography.
The age old discussion about whether Photography is “ART” is not the case today. Photography IS Art. Now that everyone can create “art” with their cell phones, it’s more relevant than ever. Everyone can explore their “creative” side with their phone. I use my cell phone AND I use my mirrorless Sony camera to start my artistic process.
Like many other photographers, I enjoy a wide array of photographic interests and subjects. My intent is to be “in the moment” with a camera as my instrument of choice.
I move to the next step in my process: My passion is to start with a photo that has been transferred to my computer and let the muse take me to a place of color, movement, tone and emotion. When I make a portrait of someone, it never stays “just a portrait”. I see something in them which perhaps, they have never connected to in the past.
My hope is that others can connect to and be inspired by my work.
